Restful Living in Jeju
An original collection of Art and Living Goods by Kim Hyemin
We had a shared vision of what comfort and rest meant to us. There are 3 original paintings, in which she captures different forms of rest through peaceful beings and gentle landscapes we encounter in daily life. Rest where it’s okay to do nothing, where we simply enjoy the things around, and rest that comes from the tranquility of being together.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to support animal shelters and rescuers in Singapore and Jeju.
Our Story
Our first encounter with Hyemin was at a chocolate shop in Jeju, where we were directed upstairs to her studio when enquiring about her paintings. Her art made us feel a deep sense of calm and restedness we had no words for, and it was there that we bought our very first original painting — a dog snuggled in its blanket, coincidentally titled "Rest" (2020). Hyemin shared that she had searched for happiness everywhere, only to find it had been right beside her all along.
She left us with these words: "당신도 곁에 가까이에 있는 행복을 자주 들여다 보세요. 굿럭! Look into the happiness you have around you, often. Good luck!"
More than a year later, a chance encounter at a café in Jeju brought us back together — and from the beginning of 2026, we've been working together on this collection. This is her first international collaboration, and we are beyond excited to share her art with you.
The Collection
The paintings are available as original (price upon request), signed framed prints or posters.
There is also a series of living goods in the form of t-shirts, paperweights, and tapes.
